2010 - 2011 Saint John Social Committee Events

Back to School BBQ - FAMILY
Thursday, August 26, 2010 - Saint John Grounds

This year, we are combining the Back to School BBQ and Ice Cream Social. This event will allow the current St. John families to reconnect with each other and welcome the new families to the school.
Time: 5 PM - 8 PM.

Trunk or Treat - FAMILY
Saturday October 23, 2010 - Saint John Parking Lot

This Halloween inspired event will take place in the school parking lot. We ask that parents get into the spirit by decorating their car trunk with a festive theme, dressing up, and providing candy for the “trunk or treaters.” There will be festival type activities for the kids, and prizes for various categories. This is a great opportunity for your younger children to trick or treat safely with their buddies and for all the families to have a howling good time together. We will need volunteers to prepare, set-up, break down and more! (Rain date 10/30) Time: 6PM - 8PM.

Family Fun Dance - FAMILY
Saturday, November 13, 2010 - Saint John Gym
The Family Fun Dance is an event that the whole family can enjoy. Mom, Dad and the kids can dress up. The theme this year will be DISCO, so dress up as your favorite character from the disco era! We will need volunteers to promote the event (Dad’s – this means you!), set up, and break down.

Time: 6:00PM - 9PM.

Family Bingo Nights - FAMILY

Friday, February 11, 2011 - Saint John Cafeteria
A great way to break up the winter “hum drums”, SJA provides Friday night Bingo! This event is held in the school gym and all ages are welcome. Food and drinks are served, along with Bingo cards and refreshments. FABULOUS prizes are provided, so come one, come all! Time: 7PM - 10PM.

Golf Tournament - ADULTS

Monday, June 6, 2010 - Raspberry Creek

This is a popular fundraiser with the Dad’s and extended friends and family members. We need volunteers to gather foursomes, sell sponsorships and work the registration table at the event.

Time: 7 AM - 8AM Registration - Shotgun Start

Auction/Gala - ADULTS

Saturday, May 14, 2011 - Saint John Gym

This event is the biggest PTO fundraiser of the year and we need all hands on deck. Volunteers needed to sell tickets, sell sponsorships, provide auction items, set – up, decorate and clean up!

Time: 7PM - 11PM
