PTO Annual Budget for
the 2007-2008 school year:
The
PTO Annual Budget for the 2007 – 2008 school year
reflects a focus of spending on traditional, PTO funded
items.
There are no major, high-dollar budget
expenditures allocated in this school year.
The Board has set a modest fundraising target of
approximately $40,000 and aims to achieve it primarily
based upon the Sally Foster campaign at the beginning of
the school year ($ 5,000), a Parish Christmas wreath
sale ($5,000), and an inaugural Armchair Fundraiser
($30,000).
Any additional funds in excess of our $40,000
goal will go towards additional social/family functions
and/or the cash reserves account that will carry over to
the next school year.
Approximately
39 percent of this year’s expenditures will go towards
teacher and staff bonuses ($21,000).
Roughly 19 percent is allocated to marketing
($10,000) - including new signage and advertising aimed
at maximizing enrollment.
Approximately 11 percent is allocated to fund
class fieldtrips ($6,000).
The Board has also approved three new
expenditures for this year, which represent 10 percent
of the budget: teacher certification and workshops
($6,000), upgrades to the school website ($3,500) and
improvements to the science room ($2,000).
The remaining expenditure ($5,500) is allocated
towards assemblies and other school events,
instructional equipment (K-8), furniture, and library
needs.
At year end, the
PTO expects a cash balance of approximately $20,000 to
help fund expenditures during the summer and early
part of the ensuing school year.
